Another Primer Shopper Lured by Scammers

Hello.
I haven't been checking in or shooting lately, however I hope someone can assist me. I'm in search of CCI 200 Large Rifle Primers. I can find them, however most are now moving away from Credit Cards, which have some Buyer Protection, to VENMO and others that I am unfamiliar with. I do not want to open any new accounts other then what I have, which is PayPal. Any help or suggestions? TNX

If you find a vendor selling primers that does not accept credit cards, they are a fraudulent site. DO NOT buy from them.

Stick to well known vendors, or you will have your money stolen.

Warning, some of the Scam sites may show a Credit Card (M/C, Visa, Amex) icon, but then they will direct you to use Zelle or Venmo etc., while stealing your CC info in the process.

Folks, the site StopGunScams.com has now identified 1240 SCAM Gun/ammo/components websites.

New scam sites come online EVERY Day.

I urge all readers to stick to trusted, well-established sites.

I'll be blunt, if you buy something from a new site, with no verified history, that won't take credit cards, then you are an idiot.

I have explained this over and over and over, and people still fall into the trap.

Made me laugh but it’s true, this has been explained over and over. Beaten to death. I guess if you‘re brand new to reloading you may have missed it. It’s sad that we even have to worry about this crap in this day and age but 1240 scam sites speaks volumes about successful it must be.

TNX for the information. I've actually been a Reloader for years, however I had enough to last for several until lately. Last time I had to buy was Obamas last term. Last time in a LGS was over two years ago when I moved. So, i guess I have things to learn all over again.

I scoured the web for primers for well over a year and every time they wanted something other than a credit card, I bailed. Finally, I decided to only purchase from a few vendors I knew were legit, such as Midway USA, Natchez, Brownell's or Graf's, Eventually, they started getting stock. Expensive stock, but stock nonetheless.

Main difference with Obama’s shortage it was rimfire Bullets, this one is powder Bullets, cases, firearms & especially primers.
