He has been suffering some GI problems.
The doctor prescribed some medication for me yesterday that seems to be helping. I feel good this morning and about to head downstairs to do my exercises and weights!
Yesterday I went down to the dugout to check on things. I had been having trouble with an armadillo digging on the dugout roof but finally killed him in a Conibear killer trap some time back. Well, another armadillo appeared and this one was the wildest armadillo I have ever seen in my life! I mean, this dude would break and run like a coyote at the smallest hint of danger!
So on my trip to the dugout yesterday I picked up my .257 Roberts with peep sights and some fresh reloads using round nosed 117 grain soft points. I walked up to the gate and looked down at the fire pit and stood for a few moments. Suddenly, to my right and in front I spotted movement! That wild armadillo appeared from behind a tree down in the ancient creek bottom and then did like he always does, bolted and hauled butt! He ran to the mouth of a hole across the creek and stopped about 40 yards distance. I quickly stepped laterally to a tree and out of sight and backed to my pickup. Grabbing the Roberts and carefully approaching the trunk of a chittum tree, I peered around the trunk and there he was, listening for any danger! I steadied the rifle with my hand on a tree limb and drew a bead with the peep sight. The 117 grain hit that armadillo perfectly in the right eye and ended his digging career!! Just made my day, diarrhea or no diarrhea!!
Have a great day Butch! We have a light rain falling with thunder as I write!!
