Another new build third kill.......

Here is a 700 223 in a McMillan A-5 I just finished putting together. Had the barreled action in an H.S. Precision stock for the initial testing while I was waiting for the cera-kote to get done on this one. Killed two woodchucks with it set up like that. Picked up the stock yesterday and glass bedded it last night. LW barrel, McMillan A-5, Leupold Mark4 M1 10x, Calvin Elite trigger, etc. 5 shot .366" group at 100 yds./woodchuck was actually a "leaning on the Gator" shot at 165 yds......I didn't have the bipod on the rifle, I was shooting off the bench first. One more thing to do...install the bolt knob.

Awesome rifle and Nice Shot you guys are sure giving me the itch to get back out there between work responsibilities and the weather seems like I haven't been able to get out yet

Thanks for the nice comments fellas...in that particular group the bullet is a 50 grain Nosler ballistic tip and the charge is 21.0 grains of IMR 4198. While that load is a good one and works very well in several of my 223's my favorite load and the one I have had the best luck with is 26.0 grains of Win 748 with a 52 grain A-Max bullet. I have also had phenomenal accuracy with 55 grain tipped, flat base Varmageddon bullets. I have some loaded for testing later this evening...will post the results. Thanks again fellas!!!
