Another Muzzle Brake Question- Sort of

Someplace here I read of a forum member who makes pretty good muzzle brakes. I can't seem to relocate where I saw that. Does anyone know who he is and have his contact info?

Thanks much for the help.

His name is Nathan he goes by IdahoCTD on the forums. He makes the 4 port brakes and his friend Ross makes the 3 port brakes. Nathan is a great guy, I have used his brakes before and they are very nice for the price. his website is www.muzzlebrakesandmore.com

That would be me. Pretty soon all of my 4 ports in 1/2x28, 9/16x24, and 5/8x24 will be single point threaded in a CNC turning center before milling. Actually all of my .875" brakes are already made that way. I still have old stock in 1" and .750" and they new ones aren't quite done yet but they should be done in the next few weeks. The new 1" will actually be .990" OD and will have the ability to be turned down to .900" so the MTU/HV/Heavy Palma barrels can have a flush fit.

.300WBYMAG, Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

IdahoCTD, Then you be who I'm looking for. I need to buy one of your muzzle brakes. Got a question for you. The end of my barrel measures .827" and I would like to leave as much metal there after the threads are cut. I really don't mind if the diameter of the brake is larger than the diameter of the barrel. Having said that. is there any reason that I don't want to do that? Also, when is a good time to call you to get one ordered?

Thanks.

There is no logical reason not to leave as much metal on the barrel as you can. I probably wouldn't do 3/4x24 but you could do 11/16x24 and have a bunch of metal left. 3/4x24 would only leave about .025" per side with the thread relief in the back of my brakes and that isn't enough IMO. 11/16x24 would give you about .060" per side and would be good in a 1" 4 port.

Shoot me a email nlw358@aol.com.
Nathan
