Using this today, I was reminded how often this comes in handy for gun work. It's one of those tools that always seems to be useful.

Dave, did the weather go west of you. I hope you guys escaped again. To go along with this you need two cheap yard sale 6" grinders. One with a cutoff wheel and a Scotchbrite wheel. The other one with a medium grit wheel and a wire brush.
We're fine here. I was in WNC this week for a car club drive and we pulled the plug yesterday morning so everyone could get out of the way. My property in Brevard was in the middle of it. Fortunately no walls standing yet for the new shop. Probably 20+ inches of rain. Flooding is severe and will get worse for a day or so.Dave, did the weather go west of you. As far as flooding is concerned, your new building site should have plenty of elevation. We're fine here. That sure is a beautiful piece of property! My shop is going to the left of the horse barn. elevation 3250'.
French Broad river elevation about 2200'
Flooding not a problem. A different story in the valley.
The house is going down the ridge to the right with a west facing view across the French Broad river valley.

Yea we do too. We have a great place on the water on the inner banks of Pamlico Sound but the mountains have been tugging at our hearts for awhile now. We've had property there since the mid 60's. I have 73 acres. 30 of pasture and 43 wooded. Surrounded by mostly like minded large tract property owners. My nearest neighbor wanted to know where the range was going. Not as easy as it sounds when you're on top of a mountain.Sure is pretty property!
I do miss the green!

Well not every nerd. I don't. But I do belong to a gun club and lots of members don't save brass. I snagged about 50 pieces of BO brass just the other day. I have so much 223 laying around the house that I don't even pick it up anymore. Sometimes the members pick it up and lay it on a table. All I do is scoup it up and take it home.Every 300 blackout nerd has one of these!
Here's another Harbor Freight tool that works great for a lot of gun related stuff like tightening muzzle brakes and handguards. These soft jaw pliers from The Fruit boys are awesome and they are very high quality made in Taiwan, Comparable to if not better than Tekton and close to Knipex.
I bought 2 pairs after I realized how great they were and I was concerned they may not carry them forever.
