had a post on here a few months past, about my less than stellar run with the 6.5CM. I finally got the Savage shooting very well, but left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I had read a lot of good stuff about the CZ Alpaha 600 rifles, so when KYGunco had them on sale for black friday at $499 with a $100 rebate, I jumped on one in 6.5CM. I got it in, cleaned the oil out of the bore, slapped a 6.5x20 Vortex Viper on it, and tried some of the same loads I had loaded up from the Savage. After zeroing, first 3 shot group was .490, and it turns out that was the worst group it shot. I shot 3 more 3 shot groups with the 95 gr V max and they averaged .358. I then shot 3 3 shot groups with tuhe 123 Hornady SST using 6.5 Staball, and the worst group was .380 with the best being .310, averaging about .360. I stand corrected gentlemen on the 6.5CM, and thought I would admit it and eat a little crow. If you wonder why I am only shooting 3 shot groups, this rifle will only be used for hunting and informal plinking, good enough. I liked it so much I turned around while they were on sale and bought one in 30/06 also, put the same scope on it and waiting on a brake I ordered for it to start shooting.
