Another fun day at the range

Last week I invited a couple to my club range to let them shoot past 200 yds. I took my oldest 6XC for them to use. We started at 300. The wife did exceptionally well and was having a good time. We then moved to 500. Once again, she did quite well. To see the smiles on their faces and the fun we all had was rewarding. I truly enjoy introducing new folks to distance shooting. As we were gathering up my equipment, she asked if I would consider selling the rifle. Well, in short, they took it home with them. Two days later we spoke in person. They had come from the range and were just as excited as they had been on our initial range day.

Now now. You guys know it's an incremental thing, more like a trajectory. You drop a little at first then the drop increase$, well, increa$e$...:D:p:eek:

Well, I managed to do it again. Last week while us old retired guys were having our .22 Benchrest shoot, an older gentleman who’d been shooting centerfires at one of the benches approached me. He was fascinated at the fun we were having with the small stuff. He asked quite a few questions and seemed interested. Okay........fast forward to yesterday. He had purchased a new CZ MTR, scope, 25MOA base and rings. He brought it all to my home and we put his rig together. He then said that he was headed directly to the range to sight it in. I mentioned that I’d like to go along and watch. .........everything worked out quite nicely. We spent three enjoyable hours down there. Bob said that us guys were just having too much fun with the Rimfire and that he needed in on it. I told him that we’d be glad to have him join up for our shoots. I finally had to ask, “Bob, how old are you”, 94 he replied with a smile. “I was graduated from high school on June 6th. 1944. ..........this gentleman is going to be a great addition to our group. I keep meeting some of the nicest folks through shooting. Good Shooting to you all.
