Another early Christmas gift

My FX-120I came today! It is an upgrade from a GemPro. Unbelievable response and has greatly reduced the time to trickle using an Omega. The GemPro I had to trickle then lift the pan and re-measure, trickle lift pan.... This thing just keeps responding to every kernel and absolutely no drift! Happy Camper/Powder Weigh-er here!

I have had mine now for a bit over a year.. It makes the drudgery of weighing powder somewhat of a joy... They are excellent scales. Most bang for the buck I have seen yet..

It does indeed! Hope it remains after the newness wears off! Sounds like it does. :)

The only thing I dislike more than loading is trimming & chamferring. So the FX-120I makes it more tolerable (which is a joy, comparatively speaking), but it still 'taint fun! LOL...

What source did you use to purchase the FX ? Where did you buy it? I just checked out the scale and watched several of the videos...Very informative and interesting information. I'm still using an old digital and have been considering an upgrade...Thanks for your help....

Cambridge Environmental out of Canada has them... That's where I got mine and it is also the best price ANYWHERE..

Thank you very much. I just checked their site ...I didn't see the FX 120i but they probably have it. Thanks again....George

How does it react to breezes / breathing........

Are you trickling with the top off or through a port / hole in the side of the top cover???

I can`t believe these guy`s ( AND ) are like 15 minutes from the house.........

I`m going to have to look into this......

Thanks again guy`s.

Phil.

I don't use the cover except as a dust cover. It is keyed and just rests on top. The Omega set to the top work well with it. I don't have any air movement where it is setup. When you move your hand close it will respond but settles within a second.

Is 525.00 canadian close to our dollars or is the dollar ahead again?

I paid $400 bucks for mine. Money well spent. I have a Sartorius 123 that if anyone would like a dose of hate and aggravation I'd be more than happy to sell it to them.....cheap.

I'd been seriously considering an upgrade from my DI MXX123 to one of the $1200 balances a little over an year ago when the A&D FX-120i came upon the scene. Cambridge had an outstanding offer going for these, so I ordered one. I've been extremely pleased with the purchase - no issues whatsoever so far. No, it's not a Prometheus, but it's about gotta be the next best thing.
