I have been tuning with Varget with some success. Now I have 200 rounds on my barrel I decided to try H4895 at 300yd. It looks like I have 2 nodes 1 from 29.8 to 30.2 and the 2nd at 30.4 to 30.8. Then my question is it looks like I might have another starting at 31.0. My question is should I try going up from 31.2 or should I just settle on 30.6? There were no signs of pressure using 205Ms. I haven't run the chronograph yet. What speed might 30.6 yield? Picture to follow.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30.6 gr H4895 is an often published node. If your gun is shooting well there, no need to chase a higher node.

FWIW... I clocked 2983 fps from a 28” Krieger using BIB 104s.

Hi Kyle.
No pressure running that down here in hot Texas..? Mine has been getting pretty heavy bolt lifts. I’m running h4350 30.5 with the 108. I was going to switch back to Varget or ..?

Nope. I was load testing up to 31.2 gr H4895 (3030 fps) 2 weeks ago with no issues. Keep in mind this is with the BIB 104s. The Berger 108 BT I shoot will top out a little lower but 30.6 gr H4895 (2927 fps) is where it tuned. I haven't found the BIB 104 tune yet.

I haven't tested Varget and RL-15 started getting twitchy as soon as the temperature warmed up.

Kyle,
Your velocities and charges with the BIB 104s & H4895 jive with mine pretty much exactly. Except mine is with a VT103. Go figure... barrel and chamber are the same. I, too, stopped at 31.2 and a slightly sticky bolt. I used a CCI400.

Gonna shoot an untested load at the July Fly Shoot to finish forming some brass. Could be a $hit show, but I’m an optimist, I guess. LOL.
