Does anyone know who might do anodizing service for individuals like most of us here on AS that would like a part or 2 anodized?

It's not that hard to do aluminum. Some basic stuff. and watch a few you tube videos.
True that,
I've done some Color anodize myself with Sulfuric
Supposedly 7075 does not anodize well though, just 6061
---------------------------
You can test at home to ID between the two with Lye
Create a solution using 1 gram of NaOH (lye) mixed with 10 milliliters of water
Clean the aluminum surface thoroughly
Apply one drop of the solution to the metal
Observe the reaction for a few seconds
Rinse without rubbing

The 7075 aluminum will turn dull black, while 6061 shows minimal reaction.

Hard Anodizing is a different process involving harsher acids, I think Chromic?

Several years ago on a site called homegunsmith.com (which is now gone) there was a guy (now deceased) that developed the LCD anodizing process for caswell plating. He posted all his process and procedures for anodizing at home. and more or less had a multi page book detailing the process. I was a member of the forum and of course I downloaded all of that stuff and I printed out both of the books. Years later I finally got my home anodizing setup going. Its really not hard to do and I got pretty good results. Of course there is a learning curve and a lot of 5 gallon buckets involved but if your handy around the shop its pretty rewarding to see the finished product and looks a better than just raw aluminum.

I can hardly find time to reload and shoot…. I really don’t need another DYI project. I’d rather send them to someone to do and pay them for their services. Thanks for the input thus far though!

Retirement has its rewards. However there isn't nothing that is hazardous, and must be gotten rid of. Storage is simple just keep it out of direct sunlight. That's more for the plastic than the chemicals. Battery acid is the worst of it. And the rest can be gotten at Ace Hardware or online. The solution to pollution is dilution. All the above came from earth and not from outer space.
