Annealing

How often do you anneal your brass?
After each firing-after 5 firings ?

I have varied on this from every firing to every 5th. Now I do it every firing just to keep things consistent. I can get a little unorganized at times so do it every firing helps keep things consistent.

I’m with Steve. Used to use Torch’n’Socket, graduated to MRB device. So much more convenient now, more consistent (not that T&S can’t be) so brass gets run thru it after every firing/cleaning cycle now.

With my AMP annealer I do it every time as it is so quick and easy to do. Sure has cut down on flyers.

Every firing. Come home from the range, flip a switch on the GinaErick induction annealer, anneal one case right after another. 15 minutes and 100 cases later.. I'm done.
In the two years I've been using the GinaErick I've yet to lose a case. All my cases are 2 years or more old and I do competition shooting, so they get a lot of use.

If you wish to build the GinaErick here are the plans . I make no money on this, its just a great annealer (IMHO)

I am back to every firing. I did a very informal test and started skipping anneals for a few weeks in my practice ammo. This should not be quoted as gospel or fact but I feel as if I get fewer flyers from freshly annealed cases. I would love to see someone who is a more accomplished shooter than myself run a more indepth and documented test
