annealing

just recieved my new bench source annealer. does anyone have any bad 6mmbr lapua cases or 6.5x47 lapua cases, that i could use to practice on. i would be glad to buy them.

Those two normally take between 6 and 7 seconds in my BenchSource. My torch heads are as far away as they can go (in the slot on the base), I normally run one inch of blue flame.

My torches are more towards the closer end and I only run mine for 3+ seconds. 6 or 7 seconds is a looooong time with the way I have mind set up. Hopefully you can get some used cases.

Set up your annealer in a dark room with practice brass. A slight orange glow is perfect when the brass passes the torches. If its bright red then its to hot. BTW I don't trust temperature sensitive paint. Be patient and good shootin!

I to have my torches set closer and three seems to be about right. I have found that they dont need to glow to be right.

How about I send you all of my 6br brass to anneal, and you can simply throw out the ones that you ruin during setup? Or even keep a few for yourself
