Annealing services question.

I'm shooting 6mm Remington and .308 Winchester, only, in rifle and would like to have cases annealed because the 6mm Rem is kind of precious and scarce. .308 is readily available and I have a lot of it. Mostly in 7.62 military and that doesn't concern me.

The 6mm Rem is something I would pay to have annealed but I have no idea what a fair price would be for the service and who, business wise, would perform it. I'm looking at the Tucson metro or Phoenix SE areas in that I want a FTF interaction.

I know the price will vary based on quantity, so a low to high guestimate would be helpful, also.

If you are possibly going to be annealing more than once it would probably be more beneficial to purchase an annealer. There are some under $300. I'm currently looking at the AGS Annealer as a birthday present to myself! Also, I have no affiliation with that company.

Lots of great shooters there. Shouldn’t be a problem to find someone with an AMP that is willing to do it for a few bucks. I charge between $0.26-0.29 per piece depending on the round and the sender pays for return shipping. Generally, I have your brass for less than 12 hours (depending on setup time and tuning). I get them repacked and heading directly back to the sender. Good luck.

You can order 6mm Remington by the 50 pc, 500 pc, or 1000 pc order today....just put in 500 pcs of brass in the cart..today...at Graf and Sons. Or order or buy live ammo in 6 mm Remington. The 7mm mauser is the parent case and run it through a die...
Also 25-06 would make 6mm Rem brass but more trimming work and neck turning...never run out of brass with a 6mm Remington.
I would just order a thousand pcs of 6mm Rem brass and be done with it ...$12.95 shipping less than 45 cents ea...order today...while they are in stock.

I'm retired and this isn't my only hobby or cartridge I reload for. I have 225 new brass and 125 1X brass. If I can get 10 reloads ea. (+/-) with annealing, that ballparks out to around 3,500 rounds.

That will get me to the promised land where bikini clad, shapely women will strut around with my targets held high.

I live in Tucson, but visit up in SE Phoenix quite often. That is the reason for FTF, so I can save on the postage. What can I say, I'm on the frugal side.

Lol...I understand...but pretend like I'm gonna be around alot longer than possible. So I just ordered 1000 pcs of 450 bushmaster brass. Ten thousand primers &16 lbs of extra powder,...so, as you see I have too much shooting to do, to exit any time soon...Plan A..
You can neck size only, with a neck bushing die, to save brass in a bolt gun and shoulder bump every 3rd firing. Ran Lapua 308 brass 40 firings this way, with no annealing at all... I do not anneal unless I have too. The brass rarely had a neck split less than 1 in a hundred ...but would get thin in the head area and you could hook a little groove with a tiny "hook tool" inside the brass case near the solid brass head..
Scrapped them because too close to head separation...from 40 cycles of resizing and trimming to length.

On AMP's site there are two options- standard or Aztec for the #9. I am confused, please clarify.
