Annealing for shoulder bump

I am trying to understand / learn.
I have a new to me, 6 BR short range BR rifle with Lapua brass. The loads are fairly hot. I did not keep records of how many times they were fired. But, they got to the point of not wanting to set back the shoulders with my Harrell`s die. 1.5 thousands.
Apparently brass became too hard.

Can it be brought back to life with induction annealing. Or should I just start with new brass?
Unfortunately, when this happened, I adjusted the die lower ( don`t know what I was thinking ) to get it to bump. I have now annealed and readjusted the die. They are now bumping back. I plan on shooting it this weekend. And will anneal again.
Problem is I don`t know if I brought it back to a happy state? Or if it`s only somewhat fixed. ( if that makes sense )

Has anyone had this problem before?

Yes. . . your brass can be "brought back to life" with the annealing process. That's one of the nice things about brass.

A propane torch for about 8 seconds should work. It's almost free. Consistency in annealing shouldn't be a problem since you are nowhere near the time and temp that things happen real fast. You would probably be mostly stress relieving with very little anneal. I have over 20 reloads on my 6BR Lapua cases and the shoulder sets back 0.002" every time. The brass is always good if you don't get neck cracks. Never had the body work harden and get clickers. Clickers or cracked necks toss it. Clickers are from the case body work hardening causing the case to grab the chamber and making a click sound when it breaks free from the chamber wall. I never had it happen.

As the others have said ; YES , your brass can be salvaged by annealing . Would recommend annealing after every firing . I shoot F-TR , .308 and have cases with over thirty reloads on them . They get annealed after every firing , and I've never split a neck . Also , I only "Bump" .001 , and I think the minimal Bump also helps case life . The less brass has to move , the better for the material . Also cuts down on having to trim cases , too .
