annealing and carbon

Is it necessary to clean the inside of necks (I always clean the outside) when annealing after every firing

I have been annealing after every firing. My routine has been to clean the inside of the necks with slivers of scotchbrite wound onto to an undersized bronze brush turned in a drill immediately prior to annealing. Before seating the bullet I add some imperial dry neck lube to the inside of the necks with a q-tip. I have been doing this as I read somewhere that heating the necks would irreversibly bake the carbon onto the inside of the necks.
