Annealeez question

I have emailed them and asked, but I know they are going thru a lot down there with the Hurricane so I was wondering if any of you could help?

What wheel set do I need for 6br? I have the large and small and neither will work. Do I need the Super Short Magnum? Or is there anything that I can do to make one of the others to work?
Also, the first set of wheels that came with the machine the rubber coating is fairly smooth and the Small set that I just got today the rubber coating is very ruff. Is that the way it is suppose to be? I thought it may be an improvement. If not I need to send it back also.

I annealing my 6BR brass using the small wheels. You have to be careful aiming the torch since the wheel can burn. The coating is rough so as to make the brass rotate during annealing.

Mine won't even come close to working with the small ones. The pocket isn't deep enough.

Ya that don't look right ,I use the smaller wheels for 6br & dasher.
I did have to adjust things a little to get the cases to roll steady.

My pocket wasn't deep enough either. Took a piece of sandpaper to it and
made it deeper. Then just a lot of little adjustments. But sure beats the
torch/socket method.

I am using the standard wheels with 6BR cases (Dasher), have run thousands without an issue, usually done in batches of 100 cases at once.

The standard torch holder will not work though, it points the torch back towards the wheels and overheats them. If you modify the torch holder you can push the torch mounting point in close to the face of the machine, then the flame will point out and away from the wheels. It's a quick and easy modification and well worth doing, holds the torch more stable and gives more control.

I followed the suggested upgrades shown in this video...

Mine had the new style torch holder on it from factory, but still won't work for 6br with the standard wheels. With the standard wheels my case shoulder is completely inside the wheel with about half of the neck only sticking out. Not sure if I have some odd wheel or what. So far I have spent about 10 hrs modifying and adjusting and fixing and drilling deeper wheel slots and bending sheet metal for about 400 rds. I think it is finally going to work, but I would have gladly paid a little more to be able to just use it and not have to work on it so much.

I used the small wheel set, did have a problem with the lower wheel getting hot. Alls good now glued Emory cloth to the wheels to stop the brass from slipping and moved tho torch to point away from the wheel instead of towards the case shoulder.

That's the problem I'm having now Bob it works good now that I have it all fixed until the bottom wheel gets kind of hot after 50 rds or so and the brass stops turning. I'll try the emery cloth idea thanks.

Jeff got me squared away first thing this morning. He said it looked like my motor mount had shifted. Probably in shipping. He advised me how to fix it and sending me a wheel to fix the other little problem. Great customer service especially with what all they are going thru down there right now.

I cut a strip of 220 grit sandpaper and glued it to the bottom wheel. Cases rotate continuously during annealing and I have not burned the wheel or sandpaper. The blue coating did not rotate cases very well. I annealing all the time now and one canister of gas last a LONG Time! My unit had a mishap and I wish to describe it...there is a metal tubular connector between the motor shaft and the wheel shaft. Two hex screws secure the connector to each shaft. On screw worked loose and one wheel would not turn. Tighten the screw and I was back in business...a great machine.
