Anneal ... yes .. no.. maybe

I've reached the point where due to age and arthritis I will be selling my XP-100. I have brass which will go with the gun. Some of the brass has been used but I also have (+/-) 200 rounds of virgin 7BR brass. The virgin brass was purchased in the late '80's. My question is .. considering its age, should I anneal the virgin brass before it goes to its new owner? What do you guys think?

Let the new owner do it. Late 80s must be a center grip XP? Remington or Lapua 6BR brass?

I never anneal virgin brass until after I've fired it once. I believe virgin brass should not be used for anything other than first-firing ... so I never have high expectations of the accuracy of virgin brass. But that's just me.

I was asking about annealing due to the age of the brass.

Brass doesn’t age harden without being exposed to environmental conditions that I’m 100% certain don’t exist in your house.

I think that you should ask the new owner what he wants.

if i was the guy buying it from you I would hope that you would ask me if i wanted it annealed or not. if i said i did i would pay you a little for that. let the new owner decide.
