ANDERSON CRK GROUNDHOG MATCH SUNDAY 10/10//21

Final groundhog match of 2021 starts Sunday at 10 am. 100, 200, 300, 400 yds. Bring your best as the competition is tough. Last month the top 4 shooters were 1 point apart. The chuck wagon will be open so bring your appetite along and a buddy. The weather looks good but it also shows it won't be a trigger pulling contest. See you Sunday.

We are not typewritter shooters. We hold 3 matches a month. Most of our shooters shoot at least one match a weekend and many of them shoot 2 matches a weekend. So, put your big boy britches on and come show us what you have. Is this a challange.....oh yes!

If you enjoy competition Central Pa is a great place to live. Lots of various club matches of different types. Williamsport and Reade 1000 yard ranges. When my son retired from the Air Force and decided to stay in Idaho my wife and I came close to relocating as we love Idaho. Final straw to not.....no shooting competition with out a full day of driving just to get there. If you ever make in here I will pay your entry to shoot our match.

I see Anderson Creek Matches here all the time, it's like you all get to shoot a match every day. Lol
This is my freshman year down there, and have grown fond of the
UBR and 400 yard deer shoots. It; is a good 3 hour trip for me from
the Northern Pa. border, but worth it. About 40 miles north of the
Anderson Creek range is the Ridgway VBR shoots.

I will be there. I had a operation on my liver the last week of August was not aloud to shoot at all in Sept. now all restriction are lifted, everything looking good now, Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Jim W

what are the competitive calibers for this match?

I have won with 6brx, 6ppc and 30br. Those along with 6br, 6bra and 6 dashers make up what wins. I will take the brx and the ppc along Sunday and pick one once I get there. Weather report at this point will make it a 6 brx day for me. 100 yd 10 is tiny. Other yardage targets are all 1 inch ten with a tiny tiny x in the middle that gets you 1 bonus point. Last match 4 were within 1 point. He who has a well tuned rifle and obeys the flags will do well. Some good shooters, no cheap wins.

Jim, I am happy your recovering ok. Looking forward to seeing you. Get healthy friend.

Weather getting even better.....wind now down to 5mph, 6mph gusts. That would be the best all season by far. For once you might be able to sit on a condition.
