Final Groundhog shoot of the year was a success. 19 entries on a beautiful brisk fall day. Yes it was windy. I heard a lot a laughter and kidding, shooters were having a good time. Oh, did I forgot to mention it was windy, maybe really windy? That has been the constant all summer. Well, I found Delmus Burkett a good used bench gun. Now he is beating as with it. I will not find anyone a rifle again. Delmus ran the table on us today. First place in Custom, last week he was second and for the second week in a row he won the small group in the wild wind with a 1.653. Now to further beat up on us old timers 14 year old Marshall Trexler from Mifflin County took third in Custom. Its great to have both some new shooters and some new young shooters coming. Hammys chile was great as always and once again they ate it all. The winners are :
Custom Class First Delmus Burkett 196
Second Jeremiah Keefe 190
Third Marshal Trexler aka "That Kid"
Factory Wide First Dave Shaw 140
Second Joe Lash 135
Small 5 shot 400 yard group, Delmus Burkett 1.653
Next week, Sunday 10/16 is the last shoot for 2022. The 400 yard deer shoot. Don't miss it!
