ANDERSON CREEK 400YD DEER RESULTS 7/18/21

Breezy and rain became very windy and sunshine. It went from 59 degrees to 80 degrees. Poor Fuj had to come from Erie by himself again. Those flatlander Erie boys must be cautious about us mountain boys. Fuj is the brave one. Glad Fuj and everyone else who shot had a good time. I heard a lot of laughter. Toms meatball sandwiches were a big hit.
Here are the winners.
Small 10 shoot group/ 2nd target Alvin Lee 2.1 inches in sustained 15 mph winds.
CUSTOM CLASS First Jeff Gates 90
Second Jim Wonders 80
Third Bob Horton 78
FACTORY VARMINT A first place time Ed Rethi and Joel Dutra both with 66
FACTORY HUNTER Joel Dutra 66
Next match is 8/7/21, Saturday, UBR Targets at 100 and 200

Ha, wait until you get old like me. You ain't see nothing yet.

I shot a 66, but my warm up target said I would do much
better......Then the winds came.

I'm hunting up more wind socks. Maybe a few in florescent
Lime Green. Funny how the one at 200 was limp most of the
morning and the one at 400 stretched right out.

You need flags..... jim

Personally, i was watching someones arrow thingy flopping this way & that, and watching the leaves on the bank, behind the target.
When things settled, i'd chamber the round, check arrow & leaves and if good, shoot.

If the wind keeps like it's done the past couple of matches i've been to, then i'm saying heck with it and bringing the Rem Mag!

Come on, I haven't even brought the 6PPC yet. Jeremiah was absent, we did take it easy on him.
Same with Brian.
And Jeff Raybuck.

And you definitely don't have any worries where my shooting is concerned. Aside from i don't even have a bench rifle built yet.

I heard from NSS on my Shilen barrel. "Another 2-3 weeks". Which means they haven't even thought about starting on it yet...
