ANDERSON CREEK 200YD RESULTS SAT 2/12/22

A good turnout on a cold , extremely windy Pa winter day by 21 competitors. The competition was fierce with results not final until the final relay was completed. The food was hot and good as usual. The ANDERSON CREEK SPORTSMEN BLOG is back up and running. Google it, Christina the young woman who has taken it over already has picures of the winners yesterday posted along with the results. Put the blog in your favorites and keep up todate. This years schecule is also posted. We had winners from close a 200 mile swath of Pa. Here they are.
Custom First place tie at 200 was Jeremiah Keefe and Mike Redin
Second place tie at 199 was Michelle Brennan, Jack Balon, and Steve Pletcher
Factory First Delmus Burket
Second Dave Shaw
Third Gina Kunselman
Small 200 yd side match group Jeff Gates .545
Next match is Sat March 12, first relay 11am.

Congratulations to all of the winners. The half inch groups shot by Jeff Gates and Ray Belloti were impressive for these really bad conditions.

Did Jeff bring the 30BR ??

Yeah I see he did. It was posted on the score sheet.
Those windy match's are fun.....eh" !!

Yea Fuj, 30 BR worked but scope went south at start of the 3rd relay. Windage turrent would only work in one direction. I ended up holding at the very outer scoring ring outer edge at 3:00 to finish up. Hard to follow the wind holding in space. It is in s box ready to go for repairs tomorrow. I think it has to do with the locking ring. First scope issue I have had for years, I guess I was due. Speaking of wind, my first 2 shots of the day were so far right they just put a half bullet on the edge of the target. I did not believe the first shot but the second confirmed it.

At 200 yards, that's a good breeze. You know my philosophy !!
When the chairs are blowing across the yard, go big or go home.

When times are tough the tough get at it. The rest just blow away. Given the
conditions the top scores were very good. Not just the wind but the temps also. I look at the turnout for these winter shoots and compare them to say the GBA600 as far as number of shooters and laugh. So some guys just love to shoot and some like to chase the wood. To each this own.
