An automated annealing unit from SA, why haven't we heard of it?

Never heard of it...

At the price though, it seems a slightly cheaper option than the AMP (if you were planning to go full blast) - but for folks that already got the AMP, it would be 50/50 to switch. I do like the approach to move the coil instead of the cartridge with pilots.

Sure looks alot easier to operate than the AMP though.

That's quite the set-up. Watched the vids and looks simple enough. They want a lot of case measurements and I would assume in metric. I do not understand some of the measurements they are asking for. So would need to find out what those are. Other than that , this is awesome. IMO.

Their website did have a 'shipping' link, but, no info as of yet. I think one reason why we, I, have not heard of this yet is because this seems to be new. October 2021. Their website is dated 2021 as well. And they are located in S Africa.

It's father & son boutique, no information on how the unit determines proper annealing time. this is crucial. 1 year warranty? In Europe you have 2 years warranty by law in B2C. I am not going to risk 2k to invest in a prototype.

Agree. It would be best to hear from the local SA shooters and get their perspective. There are several very good shooters there and I can't tell if this is just so new it hasn't been circulated very much or of I'm just not seeing where it is being discussed.

By the time the international shipping gets put on top, the reliability had better be there...

Looks like they have you feed a bunch of brass details to their control input, so the BLueTooth interface to a graphical user interface is probably a necessity.
Other than a hard cable to some other device, there aren't very many easy ways to do that job.

I started my student life with a slide rule when only the dedicated nerds had a personal calculator, but even then I worked on mainframe systems with IMB cards and tapes, and then the very first full screen editors came along and it has been that way ever since. No going back as they say.

I'm not a big fan of doing everything from an AP on a tiny cell phone screen either, but in the case of a tablet screen or iPad, sometimes it just makes sense.
