AMP Mark II ?

I have just picked up an Amp and ran the analysis and used the code. Seems as though it is over Annealing the brass.
It’s 1/2 way down case body, and after doing 10 or so rounds the shell holder adaptor is too hot to hold onto. Notice about 10 rounds had melted points on the tips after doing about 50 rounds.
6BR Lapua Brass / using Amp holder #10, cases have 3-4 firings.

I just annealed some of the same brass today. The analysis code for my lot of brass was 0154. What was your code? Just curious.

Something is wrong ... I can anneal literally hundreds of cases (6.5-CM, 300-WM, 300-PRC, 300-NM and 338-LM) ... and never have a problem with excessive heat on the adapter that holds the shell-holders. What is the Aztec Code you're getting when you run the analysis routine?
155

I'm running code 155 on Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor brass with necks turned to an average 0.0125" wall thickness, if that helps. The 155 value was the average of 3 Aztec samples.

One thing that may be worth checking is the old charts, before Aztec, that showed values based on specific cases, just to see if you're in the ballpark.

And just to be sure... which adapter number are you using?
If you punch the adapter code in wrong, you can have trouble while using the correct adapter.

I'm using Lapua 6 BR fireformed to BRX, so my neck/shoulder junction is 0.100" further away from the base. My Aztec code is 145.

UPDATE! Issue resolved after contacting Alex. He sent me an owners manual which I did not have, and also told me what the issue was. DO not run your Aztec Code in standard mode…..
