Ammo to Use When Zeroing

I'm sorry if I'm posting this question in the wrong section, but I'm zeroing a new optic today and was thinking about which ammo to use. I can get it in the general area with cheaper ammo, but should I be using the ammo I'm going to be shooting for the most precise groups to do the final, most accuate zeroing? I'm pretty sure the answer is "yes" but before I burn through my match ammo...just checking. Thanks.

EDIT:

Thanks guys, I should have indicated in my OP that I'm definitely on paper and am now fine tuning the zero, which I have to do anyway since I put a different muzzle brake on it. I think I'll just use the match ammo to get it fine-tuned.

Thanks for the confirmation. I should have indicated what I'm shooting. I know it is not a bolt-gun, so apologies for that.

But I'm zeroing a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20 on a LMT MWS in .308. I have a LMT SS 20" barrel on it, with a Fat Bastard Brake.

I am stilling experimenting with various commercial match grade ammo: Federal, Hornady and I want to try out Prime.

I'm getting, so far, .75" groups at 100 with various loads, when I do my part. I find the semi-auto to be less forgiving if I'm not on my game with fundamentals.

Dirt berms are your friends when zeroing from an unknown setting on the scope. Personally, I would always boresight a new scope at 100 yd, simply because it's so easy. Nonetheless, picking out a rock/target clay chip/dirt clod as the POA on a berm and watching for the dirt splash is an easy way to get close. Although having someone spot for you makes it even easier, you can usually spot the dirt splash even by yourself.
