Ammo survived the washing machine

Gentlemen,

This post is just an FYI. I accidentally left an unfired Remington 32 ACP round in my pocket and it went through two cycles--wash and rinse-- in the washing machine. I figured it was toast, but this morning it fired without a hitch. This was standard FMJ ammo bought at Walmart...nothing expensive, and I don't see any signs of waterproofing.

I thought you might want to know.

Heh, when I was a kid probably 5-10% of the .22 rounds I shot went through the washing machine, still have that bad habit of never checking my pockets when I take off my pants in the evening.

My ex washed my hunting coat and washed a bunch of 12 gauge slugs for me I had in an inner pocket to keep them warm.I am glad she followed the instructions and didnt run the coat through the dryer.
