Ammo Block/Caddie for F-class

I have seen a plethora of different ammo blocks/ammo caddies used in F-Class competition.
Some sit on the mat with a timer and hold all the rounds needed for a relay and some (in a wide array of designs) attach to the front rest and hold the ammo block on a flexible arm near the loading port.
What are the advantages of one over the other?

Fclass products makes a great stand alone aluminum caddy with a timer and the caddy disassembles to save space in your range bag.

Alex makes a great wooden one with a timer.

I use one of Alex Muller's wooden caddies custom made for 10 sighters/20 record rounds and timer. He may be ceasing production as he recently posted a close-out on inventory:

The blocks on an articulated arm are mostly for BR as they seem to hold less ammo than needed for a 15-20 shot HP match + sighters.

Ah yes I have seen both kinds in ARA and Centerfire benchrest. I came up with a design and got flex arm and attachments. Made 2 proto types from delrin plastic then did final one in aluminum. Mine was for Papas rest on Rimfire set up. I need to now do the same for Seb rest for F Open. Have to make it to be able change holders for calibers I would be using. A good winter project. Anxious to see some pictures of designs others have made.

Guessing biggest advantage of the gooseneck one is speed of reloading as you can position it right next to the port. prob more popular with the bench rest crowd vs f class. As mentioned above, fclass products design is very nice. They killed the beeper in the timer to be compliant.

This is my Rimfire design.
When conditions are right and want to shoot fast this has worked well for my son and I.
