I was catching up on some older American Rifleman magazines that were around the house and noticed that there was a Gene Pitts that finished 3rd in some of the national small bore matches and given the teenagers a run for there money. Is this the Gny Sgt Gene that runs the range at Manatee???

Yes, it is Gene Pitts of Manatee Gun & Archery Club. Gunny is no longer the President of the club.

Way to go Gene!!!!!!!! Is gene still running the range? I cant imagine that place with out him.

He has been having some health problems. Over the last couple of years.

Gene assures me that there have been dozens of CMP 22 target rifles raffled off to benefit the range. Ive asked if its only been one raffled over and over. I tease him about it every time I get over there.
