Amazed at Results of Re#26 ADG Brass and 6.5 prc

11 Edition Hornady Reloading book. Shooting Hornady 123gr ELD To conserve components I loaded up three rounds per charge weight. I matched what was listed with Re#26
54.3 book list velocity 2,950 FPS Out of my rifle, 28" Bartline bbl ADG brass Fed 210 primer average velocity was 3,358 with SD of 16.8
56.0 book list 3050FPS My rifle 3,372 SD 19.5
57.8 book list 3150 My rifle 3,437 SD of 6.2
58.7 book list 3,200 My rifle 3,456 SD of 3.0
59.6 Booklist 3250 My rifle 3,506 SD of 2.2. All three shot group loads were under 3/4, and 2 and 3rd loads were 1/2" groups. I'll stop at 59.6, shiny ejector mark but no difficulty in extraction
My load will be 57.8 grs of Re#26.

Ironworker,

ADG states their brass has lower volumes than other brass brands, and you should start low compared to other brands of brass. Your load and chrono data support this assumption. Another item to consider is increased barrel wear when velocities exceed 3050 f/s. If your barrel length, while longer, greatly exceeds the published length listed in the manual, you may be able to make some adjustments, but I'd still be looking to slow things down.
