Aluminum Scope Rings

I was wondering if someone had experience with various aluminum scope rings? I have an aluminum set,NightForce) on my NXS....but I have Leupold QRW's,Steel) on my 8-32x BR,Many years old).

I'm looking at getting a set of aluminum rings for my project...to save weight. I see a lot of guys using Ferrel rings...anyone use his aluminum?

Thanks in advance for any information / recommendations.

Have a great weekend!

Wayne

You might try Tactical Solutions rings, they are actually Warne rings. Warne used to make these way back and i like them alot.

I am using Ken Farrell aluminum high rings, and I haven't had any problems with any of his rings or 20 MOA base. My riflesmith, who is also a tool and die maker, says that the tolerances on Ken Farrell products, are the best in the business. I have no reason to doubt him.

Thanks guys...I really appreciate the input! I'd like to go as light as possible...even though I think I'll be under the 17 lb weight limit. But I'd like the close tolerances so I don't have to lap the rings.

Thanks Again,

Wayne
