Has anyone used this product? What was your experience? Thanks, Nick

Nick, I have a friend that just painted his semi-custom 6mm Rem rifle with the black Alumahyde II and I have used it for touch up work on a few things. If you follow the directions on the can, I think you will like it. It looks really good once it is completely dry and it appears that it is a good quality coating. I hope this helps. Bill

Thanks Bill. I am inclined to think I will like it. Good to hear from experiences like yours. Thinking about painting my ss barrel coyote brown. Nick

Jacob,
I used it to paint a set of revolver grips about 7 years ago, and they still look great.
I modified a set of Butler Creek hard rubber grips, changing the shape a little and adding bondo to the back strap to make them bigger. Sanded all down smooth, added a couple coats of Alumahyde II, and it worked very well. After several thousand rounds down range shooting action pistol, they still look great. This is a very durable finish. If you have any questions on its use, call Brownells tech support and they will set you up for success.

Jacob,
I use Wal-mart's rattle can camo paint.
It's not as durable, but you can do 1 color or several to make your own camo pattern.
I do the barrel, stock, action,& scope on my serious calling guns.
Plus it is reversable if your so inclined.
Cheaper too.

Al.

I've put Aluma-Hyde II to work on a lot of guns over the years and it always did the job, and has stood up to lots of use.
