Alternative heavy 6mm bullets

I am looking for a custom alternative to Berger 6mm 90-105 gr VLDs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nothing wrong with Bergers, I just want to try something else.

On my first 6mmBR I tried 105JLK's... They shot UNREAL for 4 shots... In EVERY 5 shot group there was a flyer that took off about an inch or so away from the group. I tried literally everything to rid myself of that flyer>>> But I could not. However, I am not "bad-mouthing" JLK's>>> I am actually touting them. If I could have gotten rid of that flyer, I would have had a rifle that shot (at 300 yards) "mainly" between 1/2' and 3/4" for almost every group! Once I use up what Bergers I have, I am going to re-visit the JLK's.. The "base to ogive" tolerance was NEVER more than 1K>>>Most were right on the money! They are definitely something to consider...

Give the good RG Robinett a call ;) Once you shoot the hand swaged missiles made by him, BIB'S will be the only bullets on your future shopping list 8)

I've got some of his 22cal bullets and you are right, they are HAMMERS. I emailed him about heavy 6mm bullets and never got a reply so I figured he didn't want to make them.

He is probably too busy trying to catch up with his orders. Your best bet with Randy is always via phone. He has no trouble using his hands and talking at the same time. Remember, Randy is a one man show. I talked to him today and ordered a few thousand bullets.

I had very good luck with the Nosler Custom Competition 105 BTs. I shot them in my 6mmAR match rifle and they were very accurate. I do not think that they are quite as good as the Berger 105 hybrids, but if they are available I'd have no worries using them at 600 yds. They worked very well with RL-15 and CCI BR4 primers.

I've had very good luck with 105 gr Hornady's HPBT out to 600 yards a number of times this past year.
They are the heaviest bullets that would shoot with accuracy out of my 9-1/8 twist barrel.
