Alpha, Lapua, Norma or Peterson 6br Brass

I have done the thing we all do and bought all four brands of brass. I am trying to get some advise on what the general feelings are about everyone's favorite brass or some ideas of what the best way to go.

I have been reloading and shooting for a long time but the 6BR is a new world for me. I have used Peterson brass on my 6 Dasher because it was the only brass I could find when I got the rifle.

Thank you for the help.

Its funny, or say ironic you bring this up at this time. Just this morning, I loaded up 20 rounds of Lapua, and 20 rounds of Alpha 6br with my proven load in this barrel. Shot two ten shot groups at 300. My alpha loads shot a inch smaller.
Going to do the same thing tomorrow.
I haven't shot any Peterson brass in about 3 years so idk bout them now. I know lots people like em.

Coming from a guy that shoots all Peterson in varmint guns...... I bought Peterson in March for dasher since i couldnt find any Lapua.... lets just say after your first firing weigh each case of Peterson and that will make the choice for you...... TONS of variation among the same lot. Lapua is available now so for BR i would go that route.....

I'm Having to Anneal, after, the 3rd shot of, Peterson 6.5 Creed, Brass ( NOT that big of, a Deal ).
Accuracy is, "On Par" with, LAPUA ,. in My Rifle. ( There was NO Lapua Brass, when I got the Rifle )
We've Had, great Luck with, Lapua, Peterson, Norma and ADG Brass, in My Family ( Never tried, Alpha ).
OLD Rem and Win Brass, still shoot's Fine, in my .22-250 ( LOL,. Brass from, the Mid, 1980's ! )
Back when, American Made Brass,. WAS still,.. Awesome !

The Peterson is too thin In the necks. Here is the loaded Pertson compared to a loade Lapua.IMG_0012.jpegIMG_0011.jpeg

If you shoot the Peterson in a no neck turn .272 neck chamber, it will have at least .006 clearance.

Would it have hurt them to make it the same as Lapua?

Not an extensive study, but from a measurement standpoint, at least the necks of Lapua (blue box) and Alpha OCD 6BR are very comparable… (I only took 5 readings on each of 5 pcs… but, pretty telling I think).
Average neck thickness:
Alpha 0.01263
Lapua 0.01283

Average range (neck thickness) within case:
Alpha 0.0005
Lapua 0.0004

Maximum range (neck thickness) within case:
Alpha 0.0008
Lapua 0.0007
