Alliant Powder doesn't show suggested load data for the 6BR in their online site. Is there another source, or experience by forum members, for data for their powder.....in particular RL15? I'm using 107gr SMKs.

Many thanks.

George

George,
Go take a look at the Sierra Reloading Manual. They have the range of loads for 107's and list RlL15 as one of the recommended powders. I've been testing that combination as recent as this past Wednesday with my 6mmbr. Give a hollar if you can't find it and I'll email you the page from my Sierra Reloading manual via personal email.

George,
I just tried to look up reloading data on the Internet through Sierra and came up with ZIP. So heres the data from my Sierra manual for RE-15 pushing #1570 .243 107 gr HPBT Matchking:

Powder Velocity 2400 2500 2600 2700
RE-15 (low)24.7 25.9 27.1 28.3 (Max load)

Accuracy load for this bullet is using Varget @28.1 gr Velocity 2600 Ft lbs: 1606

And not that RE15 won't work in your rifle, Varget was better in mine than RE15 that wasn't impressive for me.

Hope that helps.

You'll find some RL15 loads in our 6mmBR Cartridge guide:

Also, be sure to read through the 6BR "pet loads" thread:

Bottom Line: Start at 28.0 grains and work up. You'll probably end up between 30 and 30.5. Much will depend on how long your chamber is throated and whether your barrel is "tight" or loose.

Plenty of records have been set with RL15 (as well as Varget) with 100-108gr bullets.
