All things being equal...

They usually prove they aren't.

Picked up a new Browning 7mm Rem Mag - Laminate - really beautiful rifle. One of the quickest load workups I have had. Went to the range this morning to prove/disprove what I thought my loads would be. Working between 145 LRX and 139 LRX.

For the 139 LRX i used three different primer... well, two really. I have Federal 215M Red box version and the newer Federal 215M Gold box - but just 3 packs (100 ea) of these. Been using the Red box version but not been happy with results. So, tested today these two 215M versions and the CCi 250.

The Gold and the CCi 250 did really good. 4 shot groups at 100 yards. Not real sure why the Gold box version shot lower but CCI has won the honors - even with the large spread in FPS.

Take a peek - Love to hear your thoughts...
