I thought I recall watching a video where he measured the deflection of CF and steel blanks but cannot find it in searches. Does anyone have a link? Thanks!

Ah that stinks. Understandable though.....He deleted his youtube.
I think that was his plan right before his move then hes been busy sinceRumble?
Seems to me the important difference isn't really the deflection as it is the resonance properties???Bottom line. Equal weight barrels had equal deflection. Or very close.
Uh oh. Do I have it right that, on average, chromoly barrels don't shoot as well as stainless?Look, I make a living chambering barrels and don't want that to change but I'm also honest. The percentage of carbon barrels that don't shoot vs steel is not even close. I'm happy to chamber them. But I also feel terrible when a guy struggles to make a rifle shoot.
No I'm comparing carbon fiber wrapped barrels vs SS steel barrels. I'm not saying the wrapped barrels don't shoot, most do but the percentage that don't is higher than non wrapped barrels.Uh oh. Do I have it right that, on average, chromoly barrels don't shoot as well as stainless?
What is about the difference in group sizes? E.g., in a few tenths of an MOA?
Thanks
