Marks Outdoors in Birmingham has historically been a large scale gun shop. I haven’t been in the last couple of years so I’m not sure how there are currently.

Another good one is Nichols Outfitters in Bham. Normally they have a HUGE selection of guns. Not as much currently but some high end stuff. Really good folks there. Make sure you god Nichols Outfitters, not Nichols Concrete...sometimes it takes you to the wrong place

I’m sure you already know this, but US 278 does not run through Birmingham. It goes about 50 miles north. Best route is I-22.
Best gun store in the Birmingham area is Simmon’s Sporting Goods in Bessemer, Al.
