Air dry cerakote on SS barrel

Anyone done a SS barrel with the air dry cerakote? If so what steps as far as prep did you take? I'm not looking for show quality but want a decent looking barrel

Use the oven cure it is a lot more durable than the air cure. If you don't have an oven to bake it in send it out to someone and have it done you will be a lot happier in the end.

Thanks guys. Do you have any more details on the air dry, craving chipping etc? Pics of what went bad. I'm hearing mixed reviews on it

Just remember that cerakote is also marketed as a thermal barrier, so be careful if you are painting something that needs to stay cool.

Dont believe everything you read online about air dry. It really does come down to prep. NOT discounting any of the above input, but the air dry stuff is pretty durable as well. All in prep. Flame suit on, naturally

I have had great luck with the air dry on a few things. Very easy to spray. As Woody stated it's all in the prep work. ;D
