AICS action block

I don't know if this will help some of you but here goes.
Like most AR owners, I have an action block to stabilize the rifle for cleaning and various repairs and adjustments that might come up. Super system locked up in my bench vise as you all probably know.
I run AICS magazines in all my bolt guns. Wanting a similar tool(action block) proved fruitless. I couldn't find any. So I took a surplus 10 round AICS polymar magazine and filled it up with free flowing epoxy. I took the follower spring out and tacked the follower itself in place with super glue until I got it filled up. The magazines have a slight back to front taper. I took plumbers epoxy and spread it on both sides and clamped it into my vise to shape/flatten it out. Make sure you put a little packaging tape on the jaws of your vise to keep the epoxy from sticking. After it sets hit it with a sanding block or flat file if needed. You can tighten down on this all you want without crushing it.
Here are a few pics to go off of as well as a pic with my 6BR secured on the block
Hope this is useful to some of yall

Looks pretty nifty, TY for sharing. Curious how much the rifle in the pic weighs?

Nice! I have thought about doing this for my Ruger Precision Rifle. It uses AICS Mags in addition to Ruger spec mags.

I make mag well vice blocks for 9mm AR style Pistol Caliber Carbines. It is a machined piece of Delrin that locks into any dedicated 9mm AR lower receiver. I make them in Colt and Glock versions.

Maybe I should make one for the AICS mag well.
