I wonder if you could turn your Arc brass down to a .223 diameter and not modify the bolt head.

Yes,

The 6.5 Grendel or the 7.62x39 bolts should work just fine, And I'm sure someone out there is selling bolt heads that are represented as Arc bolts.

The parent case for the Arc is Grendel, The parent case for the Grendel is 7.62x39.

I would use a 6.5 grendel but they have not come out with one. Shows on their website but never in stock. I was looking to see if the 223 head could be opened up for the arc case. Yes it is a bolt action solus action.

Have you ever tried to call Aero. If you want to waste a couple hours like I Did. Gave up the first time after a hour.

Looks like the Solus action uses a sliding plate type of extractor similar to a Savage or Stolle Panda. With that being said, it would definitely be harder to modify than a Sako extractor type of situation. Good close up pics of the bolt head would help us to possibly help you out. Thinking on this a little more, this may be a fairly easy conversion depending on how much material is available to modify on the extractor lip. Pics please.

I have three of their Solus bolt actions a 22 Br, A 6bra, And a 6 BR. I have a 223 bolt head that I would like to make the 22BR into a 22 ARC.

They put double ejectors in them (insert facepalm). Any time I see that makes me realize that company has an engineer that needs to be unemployed.

Sadly, many bolt guns are doing it Seekins, Aero, Fierce, Kauger and Christensen…just off the top of my head. Maybe Falkor…it’s crazy and I scratch my head wondering exactly what problem are they thinking they are solving?

You know who knows those names the most? AR guys.

I think dual ejectors has SOME LIMITED value in a semi-auto. If I had a bolt action with dual ejectors... I'd unpin one.
