We are using DNZ mounts. Extremely solid and didn't need to be lapped.

Farrell Industries. They have the T3 in aluminum, too. You may have to call them as I am not sure they are on the website.

DNZ rings definitely need to be lapped. I have poor contact with my freedom reaper 30 mm even after an hour of working the lapping bar. They are well made and sturdy, but they are not immune from machining variations.

Maybe your DNZ rings needed to be lapped, but the 2 mounts that we have were as symmetrical as you could ask for. So obviously it must be the luck of the draw on them.
