Advice needed

I have the option of getting a NIB Zeiss Diaytl 15-45
spotting scope or a used (99.9%) Leica 20-60x77
(non APO) spotting scope. No cost to me I just have to decide which I want.have looked through Leica but have no experience with the Zeiss. Help guys- which should I take? Thanks

Both are nice products. If you can look through them, go with your gut feeling on what you like best between them, otherwise, either would please you.

We all have different vision, like Bill said, if you can put your hands on them and compare the two that would be ideal. If not, there really isn’t a wrong choice.

You may wish to verify but I was lead to believe, some time ago, that the glass comes from the same vendor for both???? It may just come down to which magnification will suit the purpose of what you intend to use it for.

one tiebreaker could be how the reticles suit your intended purpose. For example if you are using it to spot other shooters shots and your scope has a gridded reticle, you can give more precise elevation and windage corrections.
