Adjusting the cutting head on a Giraurd

Hello Members

I recently acquired a Giraurd trimmer. The unit works excellently.
But, to me it looks as though it chamfers the inside of the neck a bit too
much and a bit not enough on the outside. I plan on adjusting the cutter head.
As anyone had this experience also and adjusted the cutter head?

Pretty simple and all trial and error. Loosen the set screw on the trimmer head and slightly move the cutting blade in the direction you want to go, re-tighten and see where you are. A little goes a long way with them and you may make the chamfer worse before better, but it will get there.

waltk,

Yes, I think everyone has. It's part of the process, but trimming large amounts of brass, the Giraurd can't be beat.

I am almost certain they post instructions on their website.

If you decided you don't want the Giraurd, just call me, I will take it. LOL, just kidding, but I will take it.

That's what I kinda thought. My plan was to set the cutter
head to a properly chamfered case.
I was curious to hear if anyone else had experienced this.
Thanks for the replies.

Unplug the machine, loosen the cutter head, and lower the "shell holder" so that the case makes firm contact with cutter blade. The case neck will go into the "V" on the cutter blade and center the cutter properly. As you push down on the case, tighten the set screw. You should be good to go after that. It should take less than a minute.
