Adding pillars to a bedded stock

I think what Adam intended was to bed only the cylinder cuts you made for the pillows - coat the bottom of the receiver with release agent of choice including the bottom metal screw holes and the screws themselves. Insert the screws into the pillows and tighten firmly. Apply bedding to the pillows themselves if they are grooved to ensure no voids and apply bedding in the pillow holes in the stock. Lay the receiver in the stock and slowly press in, cleaning up excess bedding material that oozes out of the bottom of the pillow holes. I light to wrap my actions into stocks with several wraps of cheap masking so that it won't damage the stock finish. Clean up any runs of bedding material with vinegar and q-tips - make sure that the bottom-metal side of the pillow holes are clean and make sure no overlap on the screw heads. If you take your time, you should end up with the same clean bedding job for the receiver that you started with and now also have your pillows locked in as well.
