Adams Custom Rifles

I have used a few different people for fluting but just got these back from Adams Custom Rifles. I mailed my bolts off to Dennis and had them back in three days. Both got fluted and threaded for small knob. Once I get the bolts re-timed I will coat them; I should have asked Dennis if he did that before I mailed my bolts for fluting/knobs

Both are flats, top is Series 3, bottom Series 2

Same bolts in their actions

A comparison of fluting and bolt handles for those trying to make decisions. Left to Right: Rem700SA Kampfeld Ti Flutes, Adams Series 2 Flats Flutes and small knob, Accurate Ordnance (by Stiller) similar to Adams square, Peirce Precision similar to Adams round

That forum looks like it's for selling stuff or services. I'm not affiliated with Adams, just a soldier who appreciates quality work with a timely turnaround and thought I would post it for other guys to see; I have a budget for building guns but time is not on my side in this line of work. There is group buy in this forum for bolt fluting, et al, so other options seemed like a an appropriate post especially since I just got these back for a pair of 6.5 Creedmoor rifles I'm about to barrel up for PRS. I actually joined this board to see if I could get some info on Whidden dies (got it from FTRinPA)since I can't get much on them elsewhere but thanks for the welcome.

Dennis fluted my Remington 700 bolt and Cerakoted it flat black. Turned out really nice and the price was great. I'd heartily recommend his work and turnaround time.

I think any time someone is very satisfied with a product, they should brag up the work or product. I go on this website to learn, more than to expound on my knowledge, there is plenty of that without me. If I think someone is wrong or misleading, I have a tendency to ignore, there are enough comments and petty bickering to lead the original post off subject.
If someone has something to show, I really appreciate that.

Dennis is a great guy, he has worked for Harrell's for years. Don't tell me he's got back trouble, he may be coming to my shop to get an 8 x 18 Hydraulic Surface Grinder. It is going to be lots of fun loading it onto a trailer. It weighs over 4,000 pounds.

Haven't gotten mine back yet. I caught him in the middle of some retooling so I wait. No problem though, I'm all done with working up loads . Unless...I buy another rifle!!

Got some work done by Adams, great guy, impeccable work... The precision and attention to detail is above and beyond. I would recommend him to anyone who wants quality work.

Hello,
First time poster and sorry it has to be this type of a post. I am bringing back this post to ask if anyone knows anything about Adams custom rifle? I sent a customers bolt out for fluting going on 4 weeks ago. I was told by whoever reply's to emails a 2 week turn around, so I told my customer 2 weeks. There has been no returned call or email, since I sent it. I don't even know if he got the bolt. I'm kind of hoping that is the case. I hope they would not leave a customer hanging for weeks with no reply. My policy is I will discount the bill $20.00 a week that its late. Yes some jobs are almost free, like this one, but I'm always booked up 3 months out.
So if anyone has any recent info about this company please let me know.
I apologize in advance if something personal has happened in that company, I did not intend this post to be a bashing, just looking for info.
Thanx,
John A

Hey Dusty, nakneker you guys talking about my post?
I am not bashing anyone, just asking if anyone has any knowldege about this company.
Sorry if you misunderstood, or I was not clear.
John A

Did you call him?
Yes, many times. Just get the voicemail about "if you don't leave a message don't expect a return call" so I leave a message with them but no return call.
I have been reading nothing but good things about this company so I'm a little puzzled. Do you know, is this a one man operation, because I am to and well we all know life gets in the way, family, illness ect. I'm just trying to get a time frame or the bolt body back. At this point I don't care if its done or not,. I have a gentleman wanting his gun back!
This kind of thing reflects poorly on me and I DO NOT like that! One could argue I brought this on myself by depending on some one else and there time frame, and that would be accurate, but I like to try new company's especially when they come highly recommended as Adams did.
It sounds like there are some on this forum that deal with them often, if you know there are problems at the company please let me know.
As I said earlier I discount my charges if I am late on a job so I'm two weeks late Monday ($40.00) I have ordered a new bolt body so I can get this rifle done and back to the customer, but I'm sure you all know that's more work again.

Thanx in advance for any help
John A
Ice-Hot guns (this is the kind of company name you get when you let your 12 year old hockey nut name it)LOL

PS I have seen one of your builds Mr Wheeler and have never seen another with as much attention to detail and fitment as yours only wish I could have shot it.
