S.P.F.Guys I need your input,I have a Gentleman that wants to trade,2)New Bat stainless steel actions,and one Krieger 30 cal. #10 blank to me,for my old 40x 22 lr rifle.Do you think this is a good deal,or no?

That must be a special 40x. Is it USMC marked ?

BAT actions run from about $1100 to $1300 each and a Kreiger barrel for $300+. That is $2500+ for a 40X. Sounds like an OK deal for U.

My 4ox,is just the normally marked U.S Remington 22 lr. The guy told me he just received the actions and barrel from his late friends estate,who did not get around to building the two intended rifles.I already done the trade,and will probably sell the actions for $700.00 each,and the barrel for $150.00.as I do not shoot Hi-Power........

One of the actions is of the Remington 40x footprint,and 308 boltface,with scope base rail built in,and a Jewel trigger.The other is a 308 boltface,and is octagon shaped.they are both polished stainless steel.The barrel is 32 inchs long,My guess is for a palma configuration

its just a 99 dollar rem. factory stock its not like its a 750 dollar mcmillan, he said it was a factory varmint heavy barrel stock when in fact its a standard hunting stock someone opened up with a tool, he has since deleted the thread but i can post pictures and other things if i have too. i have his address.
if it comes down to it i will keep the stock and take the hit, but be warned in any dealings you guys have with him.
It speaks to his character. if he will do this for 99.00 what would he do for 750.00
