Action threads

Just wondering which of the custom actions are configured the same as the rem family./ Hart, Shilen, etc. ?
Reason is, I see alot of good benchrest barrels ( used ) and would like to purchase one or two.
I am rebuilding a XP- 100. Sleeved and switch barrel set up. It never did shoot. Tenon runout about 1-1/2 thou while running on a dead center.
No wonder.

The standard most use is 1 1/16-16. Stolle, and Tubb 2K are two custom actions that come to mind that do not use the standard threads. Almost any barrel you buy will need the overall length of the stub adjusted to correct headspace and clearance the bolt, but that isn't an extremely expensive proposition. Work with your gunsmith when you get ready to buy a used barrel, he can probably tell you exactly how much work will be involved putting it in your rifle's action.

Borden Alpine is 1.062 x 18. Just FYI. Benchrest actions are great for builds. Have fun.
