Action screw size

Looking for the size of the rear action screw for a
remington 600

Do not have one in hand, but my literature says 8-36. 1/4-28 on the front. Hope this helps.

Just had to find some myself. The above info is correct

Butch that makes a lot of sense to me, a number 8 screw ain't very stout.

Does not look like there is enough room to enlarge the trigger guard/floor plate to me
hate to ruin a Herritage floor plate

Well I put a PT&G bottom metal assm. Problem with the 600 is the rear receiver screw doesn't allow a Jewell or Shilen trigger.
I don't particularly like camo, but if the Grandson wants it, it became camo. It is a 6X47L.

Very nice work Butch. I like the cutout in the port. Do you make your own bolt stops and are they drilled and tapped? I wish I had someone to build guns for, maybe in a couple of years I will.

Karl Feldkamp,Kampfeld Customs, did the cutout for me. The bolt stop-release is an Anschutz.The bolt stop has a through hole. Usev a 4-40 SS set screw and turn down the end to fit the hole in the stop.
