Action Bedding

I am in the process of building a varmint rifle with a laminated stock. I am interested in some of the techniques that you guys use to hide/ eliminate the visible line of bedding compound between the action and the stock. I typically use Devcon but no matter how tight my wood to metal fit is there is always a faint metallic line of bedding visible. Have any of you tried using die in some of the epoxies, other than Acraglas)?

Thanks for your help

Try sanding the barrel channel with lite sand paper so you will get fine dust. Mix the "dust" with your bedding and it will blend in. Ollie

I'm not sure what you're doing but on all the bedding jobs I've
done,,3) you will never "see" bedding compound. I use a plastic
aluminum similar to devcon. If you have a round action then you only need about 60-90 deg. of contact on the bottom staying well away from the sides. Near the tang area I sometimes will use plasterseen to block compound from ozing.
