Accutrigger tool dimensions or tool needed

I picked up a Savage Accutrigger action without the little adjustment tool and wanted to try to lower the pull weight. Does anyone have one they could spare or the dimensions of one to reproduce. It looks like a small diameter tube with a notch to catch the spring wire.

Many thanks.

I can lay to rest the valve stem idea. At least mine doesn't even come close to fitting.

The valve stem tool OD is .172" and .340" depth. The Accutrigger is ID .110" and .715" depth.

I did find where you can just rotate it out by hand. Mine appears all the way out and still has 3.5 lbs on my gauge.

It looks that snipping a coil would just increase the over-travel.

edit: maybe not, nothing to lose reducing the weight spring stack that could relax it enough to lower the pull safely.

Thanks for the gunshack link.

I was able to get another half coil to turn in after I removed the trigger group. I'll try that then I will polish the sear surfaces a bit.

Thanks for the help guys.

That definitely helped. I got a consistent 2.6 lbs now. You don't really need the tool except that it helps turn the spring under tension.

Mission accomplished. Thanks fer da help.
