Yes, but it's very limited in rifle application. Really fast for most rifle cartridges.I've never used this powder before and can't believe how finely ground it is. It seems like dust compared to the powders I'm familiar with. Is this the nature of this powder? I have lot 0527202110.
Yessir, 1680 is a good one for BLK and it's also the best powder I found for the 17 Ackley Hornet.Thanks for the responses gentlemen. This is for a 300 AAC Blackout.
It was designed as a copy of the 762/39 powder that the AK and the SKS used. Works well in those rifles
1680= very good in 762×39/ 110 grain bullet's/ 308 bore.
That’s a bigger flash than I get when I light a fart.
Your ak has .310 bore. 1680 is still great but you will be stuck with 123/125 bullet's only.Good to know. I have an AK but have never loaded for it - always have shot the steel cased 7.62x39 from Russia in it. Thank you for the info
Your ak has .310 bore.
